The Hansville Cemetery

The cemetery is located at 37900 NE Hansville Road on the East side of the road, just before entering the town of Hansville. The entrance to the South side of the cemetery is named “Idlenot Lane” NE.

The road encircles the cemetery in a U-shape from the South entrance to the entrance on the North side. The cemetery extends uphill to the East and is bordered by alder, fir and cedar trees with an early Hansville's farm’s hay field on the North side. The Hansville Road entrances are bordered by a wrought iron fence with two access entrance gates that are never locked.

The cemetery is divided into two sections, with a parking area located between them. Section A contains the earliest burials and Section B the later burials and more of the available remaining plots. There is a flagpole near the parking area centered in Section B. There are two stone benches, one centered in each section. There are only a few standing memorial headstones as it was eventually decided that only flat headstones would be allowed (for more efficient lawn maintenance). A partial split rail fence separates the parking area and the grave sites.
